When i think of you grandma i think of how soft your fragile skin was and how you'd use lipstick as "rouge" for your cheeks. Every time I'd stay over we'd start the day by exercising our legs before getting out of bed, which would be followed by a cup of tea or coffee, a butterfly cookie, and a bowl of cereal with fresh chopped fruit in it. (you'd always scare me when cutting it because youd cut the fruit so that the blade would graze your thumb) we'd eat and laugh while enjoying the "lovely" daily mass or the game show network. Raidiing your candy bowl of the the Werthers wasnt so bad either ;) I'd help you water your plants and then youd tell me to put my ear up to that big seashell you brought back from Florida so that i could hear the ocean. Sometimes good ol' Anne would stop by and continuously ask when i was getting married even though i was about six or seven. One of my friends lives in the same building you did now and the apartment has exactly the same smell, it unbearable. and whenever i walk out onto their porch i think of you just sitting there with a smile on your face although you were sad to see us leave, waving (even after the car was out of sight). At the time i didnt think that walking up and down the halls of the apt. with your grandmother was such fun, but i would kill to have that moment back.

I miss you very very much and id like to think that you are up there smiling down at us and laughing at how we all get ourselves worked up over such "petty" things in life rather than taking a step back and relishing in all of the little moments and all the little gifts that life has to offer.

P.S. I still havent been able to bring myself to get to the grave to visit yet. ill see you soon.
